Bella and Gigi Hadid’s farmhouse in Pennsylvania has provided the busy supermodel sisters with a blissful escape now that much of the world is under lockdown. The pair left their bustling city lives behind to quarantine at their mother Yolanda’s rural home, which is situated in 32-acres of green space. The sisters’ closest neighbours are now horses, goats and cows, and both girls have been making the most of the prime Instagram opportunities provided by the farm’s four-legged residents. The peace and quiet of the countryside retreat is no doubt particularly welcome for Gigi, who confirmed earlier this month that she is having a baby with her boyfriend Zayn Malik.
Home life for the Hadids now involves embracing all things outdoorsy: tending to herbs and flowers and communing with wildlife. Gigi and Bella even went as far as to create a crystal “labyrinth” at the farm, which now provides the perfect spot for their mother Yolanda to meditate.
Also in the grounds, a spectacular outdoor dining area that’s perfect for eating al fresco. The wooden dining table can seat around 18 people, while a smaller table in the corner of the yard seats four. The table is overlooked by the stables (Bella in particular is a keen equestrian), meaning the Hadids have extra company for dinner in the shape of their horses.
Bella and Gigi have been making the most of the spring weather, making s’mores and toasting marshmallows on the outdoor fire pit. Inside, the rustic yet well-equipped kitchen has been the scene of still more culinary experiments: Gigi’s recent efforts include mac and cheese and pasta with spicy vodka sauce (minus the vodka for the pregnant model).
Bella, meanwhile, has been using the sunny kitchen as her crafting HQ – she recently had a go at making her own candles, using lavender from the grounds of the farm for a special touch.
As befits the rural location, wooden accents feature throughout the house, including in the spacious living area, in which Bella has been mastering her TikTok moves, and Gigi has been curling up on the vast couch to hone her Nintendo Switch skills on the flat screen.
Bella’s rustic bedroom, complete with wood panelling on the walls, has also revealed her as an Audrey Hepburn fan. The model has a triptych of black and white portrait of the silver screen icon hanging on the wall over her plush white padded headboard.
