London’s iconic all-day restaurant is making its debut in Hong Kong this coming year. The exact date of the opening is yet to be confirmed but Duck & Waffle is scheduled to open this autumn at IFC mall.
While the restaurant makes a mean (fried) duck and waffles, it’s the creative sharing plates and cocktails that have established Duck and Waffle as a London must-try. We’re hoping the Hong Kong menu has some of our favourites from the London branch: beef cheek doughnuts, BBQ spiced crispy pig ears and that amazing house bread with spiced butter.
But will it be open 24 hours like in London? Given its location, in IFC mall, we doubt it. So will a non-24-hours Duck & Waffle have the same effect on capricious Hong Kong diners who have an endless amount of options to choose from? We’ll have to wait and see, but for those who have experienced Duck & Waffle in London, we’re sure that it’ll be worth a try.
