威廉王子於凱特王妃的聖誕卡片一向十分完美，2022年的更是如此。卡片上，三位王室小成員——喬治王子、夏洛特公主和路易王子身穿深淺度不同的藍色套裝，漫步在鄉間小路。而威廉王子身穿深藍色襯衫，與喬治王子的短褲顏色相同。凱特王妃亦身穿深藍色牛仔褲與全家人的造型呼應，露出幸福的模樣。之後的幾個月，這家人亦共同公開一組慶祝路易王子五歲生日的照片，只見他穿藍莓色系的費爾島毛衣，坐在凱特王妃的手推車裡，臉上洋溢着快樂神情。幾週後，夏洛特公主的八歲生日上，她則身穿繡着藍色小花的白色長裙。喬治王子的10歲生日亦身穿藍白格紋襯衫⋯⋯回看近六個月的家庭照片，藍色系的服裝始終是不變的主題。
為什麼如此喜歡藍色造型？
雖然無法公開討論政治話題，但是威廉王子和凱特王妃都經常通過嚴謹思考過的著裝傳達自己的內心信息。例如，在英國國殤紀念日（Remembrance Day）這天，他們會以全黑造型搭配紅色虞美人花。俄烏戰爭爆發不久後，凱特王妃在拜訪烏克蘭文化中心時，亦穿上與烏克蘭國旗顏色相同的造型，隱晦表達支持的心情。如此見得，他們對藍色系造型全家福的執著，絕非無心之舉。

所以，為什麼偏偏選擇藍色？基礎色彩理論表明，藍色代表了冷靜、責任感。對於培養未來的人民公僕，這樣的審美投射無疑是最具美學吸引力的——畢竟，君主制即代表着穩步向前。此外，藍色也是英國國旗的一部分，正好也可以呼應內心的愛國情懷。
