「性情古怪的角色通常會是我的最愛。」而你以為女神只會選擇「女神」角色。 演出過無數大製作，至今最叫她回味的仍是獨立作品《Rachel Getting Married》;自言最期待扮演的角色，是「有妄想症的人」。出道至今觀眾緣不減，大概除了女神外在，還有讓人意想不到、耐人尋味的內在。

《VOGUE》HK:由你主演的新作《Armageddon Time》 剛上映，可以分享一下拍攝的難忘體驗及趣事嗎?
Anne Hathaway:電影拍攝充滿挑戰、出乎意料和收穫滿滿。James Gray(導演)和 Jeremy Strong(演員)都是難得的朋友，而 Anthony Hopkins 實在太棒了，我十分喜歡這位演員。 James 有一個可愛的習慣，他會在監視器後面偷笑。有一天，演員們在鏡頭前上演了一場約 20 分鐘的即興演出。而我則不停進出，將醃漬小食分享給大家。James 笑得很開心，我以為他會笑到暈倒。雖然聽起來很奇怪，但這是我最喜歡的回憶之一。當然，這些趣事沒有出現在電影中。這部電影的題材和主題很沉重，所以拍攝時，我們總把握機會大笑。

《VOGUE》HK: 在你的最新作品《WeCrashed》中，你飾演 WeWork 創始人 Adam Neumann 的妻子 Rebekah。你曾經提到，沒有 Rebecca 的話，Adam 不能成功建立公司。你認為當女性作為企業家或擔任領導層職務方面時，是否仍然被局限在某種刻板印象中?飾演這類角色是如何促使你轉變這種觀點?
Anne Hathaway: 我不認為飾演 Rebekah Neumann 會改變觀點，這不是此作品的目的。但女性一直困在既定印象中，這是不爭的事實:為甚麼企業家或擔任領導層職務會受到不同的對待?我強烈感受到，雖然性別和種族之間存在不平等的薪酬差異，但我們的價值取向總會存在長期差異。根據目前聯合國數據的估計，這狀況還需要 300 年才達到平等。這讓我非常憂心。

《VOGUE》HK:你曾公開表達對設計師如 Christopher John Rogers 的欽佩，而他正是多樣化與包容性的提倡者。你認為時尚是改變社會的其中一項工具嗎?你會想如何參與在其中?
Anne Hathaway:時尚是一個巨大的經濟體，對環境和文化影響甚深。而擁有如此多的力量、影響力、作用和財富，固然也有無限潛能，成為改變社會的其中一件工具。這是一股不可否認的力量。意識到業界開始負上真實的責任時，令我也感到興奮。
《VOGUE》HK:你最喜歡飾演甚麼角色?你又如何進入一個新角色?
Anne Hathaway:我喜歡飾演有妄想症的人，我也不知道為甚麼。至於如何進入角色，這根據每次狀況而有不同的變化。但和聰明並樂於接受的對手進行詳細的對話交流，是個好開始。

《VOGUE》HK:在你的職業生涯中有哪些關鍵時刻?又在甚麼時候覺得有成就感?
Anne Hathaway:演出《The Princess Diaries》、《The Devil Wears Prada》，緊接飾演 Selina Kyle 和 Catwoman。但對我而言，最重要是遇到《Rachel Getting Married》的導演 Jonathan Demme。他已經離世了，但和他一起工作時，我會覺得自己是一個最棒的演員，讓我覺得非常滿意，有極大的滿足感。我希望能一直維持這種感覺，向對的方向前進。

《VOGUE》HK:你飾演過的角色其中，哪一個角色讓你覺得最親近?難度最高的角色又是哪一個?
Anne Hathaway:我和很多角色都有深厚的聯繫，而性情古怪的角色通常會是我的最愛。我剛剛和好友 Jessica Chastain 拍了一部電影《Mother’s Instinct》，是我演過最難的角色。角色觸碰到我最深層的恐懼，我差一點就退出這部電影了，因為我不知道自己能不能演下去——而我很高興最後也能順利完成。
《VOGUE》HK:你有嚮往的女性榜樣嗎?誰是你的繆思?
Anne Hathaway: Penélope Cruz、Rebecca Miller、Erin Walsh。
《VOGUE》HK:哪個人、或甚麼一直在激勵你?
Anne Hathaway:大自然、我的丈夫、音樂、藝術。仁慈、感恩，還有大師級喜劇演員。

《VOGUE》HK:你即將踏入 40 歲——回望過去，你會給 20 歲的自己甚麼建議?
Anne Hathaway:搬到巴黎，在懂得說法語之前，不能回家。
《VOGUE》HK:你在 30 歲時學會最重要的東西是? 30 歲主題曲又是甚麼?
Anne Hathaway:治癒、感恩、奇蹟、耐心、呼吸。也學會享受演講。我這十年的主題曲是 Donna Summer 的《Love to Love You Baby》，和 Prince 的《Let’s Go Crazy》。
《VOGUE》HK:你擁有「40 歲的願望清單」嗎?
Anne Hathaway:盡可能多給自己驚喜，多去衝浪。買一部好相機並多加使用，盡量和家人留下更多回憶。
