天橋上的巴斯克腰線(Basque waist)復興

尋找婚紗的人或許對巴斯克腰線(Basque waist)並不陌生,這是一種將視覺腰線延伸至臀部的剪裁,裙身從臀部位置開始展開。這種風格在 80 年代尤為盛行,戴安娜王妃便是那個時代將此類禮服穿得最為出彩的名人之一:上身貼合身形,下身綴以蓬鬆裙襬。

巴斯克腰線(Basque waist)的歷史

在時尚史上,這個術語並不陌生。無需追溯太遠,英文中所謂的「basque」腰線,其實是 19 世紀緊身胸衣中極為常見的輪廓,剪裁與裝飾方式多樣。這種風格在 1880 年代尤其流行,亦可應用於外套,比如那些背面比正面更長,模仿男裝式的禮服外套,正呼應著這個古典的剪裁元素。當時的女性雜誌如《Peterson’s Magazine》經常刊登相關製作技巧,一件製作精良的巴斯克胸衣可以營造極纖細的腰身,背部則由裙撐(bustle)的蓬鬆量感來平衡。《Vogue》在 19 世紀末亦不乏對這類輪廓的持續報導。

從過去到當代

對過去的懷舊並非新鮮事,復古風潮也曾盛行一時。在 1880 年的一篇專欄中,《Godey’s Magazine》曾提到巴斯克剪裁外套是作為家居服受到歡迎的,那時它被稱之為「casaquín」風格,亦稱「caraco」,它是一種穿在半截裙上的修身緊身胸衣,並在臀部位置加入裙片裝飾,以強調臀部線條。這與當今可見的帶腰飾外套,甚至 17 世紀西班牙王室女性所穿的帶裙擺外套,在概念上有著異曲同工之妙。看著 Alaïa 的秋季設計,不難將其與過往那些蓬鬆外套與裙裝聯繫起來。
