由 Tim Burton 執導，Johnny Depp 版本的《朱古力獎門人》（Charlie & the Chocolate Factory）形象深入人心；而前傳《Wonka》的主角人選一直有不少傳聞，從 Ezra Miller、Ryan Gosling 到 Donald Glover 等都曾經競逐Wonka一角，劇組終於在呼聲最高的 Tom Holland 及 Timothée Chalamet 中作出選擇，2021 年 5 月敲定「甜茶」Timothée 這位演技及顏值都受到讚賞的新一代男星來出演前傳《Wonka》，飾演年輕版 Willy Wonka。
1/ 《Wonka》故事情節
源自 Roald Dahl 的經典故事，今次前傳採用了 1971 年的音樂劇電影《Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory》為原型進行製作。電影《Wonka》將集中在年輕的 Willy Wonka 身上，講述他如何從一位偉大的發明家、魔術師與朱古力製造商，成為一位廣受大眾喜愛的名人，以及他在開設世界上最著名的巧克力工廠之前的冒險經歷。
2/ 強大幕前幕後陣容

電影由《Paddington》系列導演 Paul King 執導，並由他與系列中的編劇 Simon Farnaby 合力完成劇本，而《哈利波特》的 David Heyman 則擔任製片。
而演員方面，我們可以在預告片中看到《戇豆先生》Rowan Atkinson 將飾演一名牧師；而《The Shape of Water》女主角 Sally Hawkins 則飾演 Wonka 的母親；《Notting Hill》演員 Hugh Grant 更以綠髮矮人族造型驚喜現身；另外奧斯卡影后 Olivia Colman 亦將會在電影中亮相。
3/ Warner Bros. 第三次拍攝 Wonka 故事？

今次 Timothée 的《Wonka》前傳標誌了華納兄弟 （Warner Bros. Pictures） 第三次拍攝「朱古力獎門人」 Wonka 的故事，之前的版本是根據英國作家 Roald Dahl 的經典小說《Charlie and the Chocolate Factory》改編的。第一個在 1971 年由 Gene Wilder 德飾演 Willy Wonka，第二個則是 2005 年由 Johnny Depp 主演的版本。

4/ Timothée 將會帶來歌舞表演？

《Wonka》將會以歌舞片的形式呈現，意味着男主角 Timothée 將會在大螢幕上為我們帶來他首次的歌舞表演，為電影注入歡樂氣息。Timothée 早前在訪問中提到他接拍這部電影的原因：「在政治言論激烈的社會氛圍下伴隨着那麼多的壞消息，希望這部電影能夠成為一塊朱古力。」並吸引不憤世嫉俗的年輕觀眾觀看。
