同為畢加索的情人，相見之時又會如何？最近倫敦泰特現代美術館（Tate Modern）圍繞攝影師 Dora Maar 的展覽，其中就展出一幅描繪這段不自在感情的油畫——《對話》（The Conversation）。這幅大型繪畫出自1937年，是第三次公開展出，亦是 Dora Maar 在英國的首個回顧展的其中一部分。該展覽將展示200個Maar的作品，包括畫作和超現實攝影作品。

At this morning’s preview of @Tate Modern’s new Dora Maar exhibition. This is the first UK retrospective of the work of Dora Maar (1907-97), the photographer and painter famed for her surrealist photomontages and her relationship with Picasso which was both romantic and artistic – Maar famously chronicled the painting of Picasso’s Guernica in a series of commissioned photographs. ? One of the highlights of the show is Maar’s The Conversation 1937 – on show for only the third time its history and for the very first time in the UK. This unsettling canvas shows Dora Maar sitting at a table with Marie-Thérèse Walter, the woman whom Maar had recently replaced as Picasso’s lover. 《對話》（The Conversation）這幅油畫中的兩位女生分別為 Marie-Thérèse Walter 和 Dora Maar。兩位先後與畢加索談了一場刻骨銘心的愛戀。而說到畢加索和 Walter 的相遇，絕對能看出其情場高手的作風：一天，46歲的畢加索在巴黎的地鐵站遇見正準備離開的 Walter，他一下抓住當時17歲的 Walter 的手臂，說：「我是畢加索！你和我將一起做偉大的事情。」兩人隨即展開轟轟烈烈的愛情和同居生活，亦造就了畢加索頂峰的「奇蹟之年」，創作了無數件抽象創作風格的作品，包括舉世聞名的《夢（Le Rêve）》，啟發了整個抽象藝術發展。
