不知不覺間 M+即將開館一年了，更首度帶來特展，以紅遍全球的藝術家草間彌生為主題，在11月帶來大型回顧展「草間彌生:一九四五年至今」，由 M+副總監及總策展人鄭道鍊及獨立策展人吉竹美香共同策劃，匯聚200件來自亞洲、歐洲及美國的博物館主要藏品及私人藏品，是藝術家日本以外，在亞洲最大型的展覽。
回顧展按時序及主題出發，共分六個主題：無限、積累、全面連結、生物宇宙、死亡、生命的力量，展出由草間彌生創作生涯最早期到最近期的作品，可以欣賞到藝術家在日本，其後到美國和歐洲等地的藝術創作及發展。

草間彌生早年離開日本前往紐約，憑藉別具特色的波點及鏡像元素很快便獲得藝術界青睞，更成為家喻戶曉的當代藝術家愛。現年93歲的她從作品帶來治癒心靈的力量，亦有貫穿在作品內關於生與死的哲思。「我創作藝術是為了治癒全人類。」草間彌生曾經說過如此一番說話，其作品無聲更勝有聲。
今次展覽更將涵蓋多種媒介的作品，例如繪畫、裝置、雕塑、素描、拼貼、流動影像和檔案資料，還將帶來三組全新作品，包括大型裝置《神經的死亡》（2022）、沉浸式環境作品《圓點執念──渴望天堂的愛》（2022），以及在地下大堂兩件名為《南瓜》（2022）的大型雕塑。
