If I could buy everything from Deiji Studios, I would. For this month’s editor’s picks, it’s their folded wool pant I want to highlight. With a tie at the hip and navy stripe fabric, these suiting-style trousers have the perfect dose of character to spruce up a simple outfit. In the same vein, Dear Frances’ Balla Flats have a similar effect. Sheer shoes are no new invention—and admittedly, it’s a style that took me some time to get behind—but upon seeing Chan Luu’s Tessa Tran style with them with her brand’s toe rings, I understood the shoe’s effortless and laid-back magic. Something that has opened a permanent tab in my brain (of many opened, ‘I-will-come-back-to-this’ tabs) is the Maison Louis Marie perfume oil in No. 13 Nouvelle Vague. Think warm Tuscan fig, toasty tonka, delicious coconut waters, and sweet agave, mixed with citrusy lemon. It’s a warm scent that doesn’t fall into wintery territory, and a perfume oil seems like one of those things to introduce into a daily routine to trick your brain into thinking that life is, in fact, worth waking up for. Something else that always catches my attention is windbreakers. I don’t kid myself into thinking that I’m a cool gorpcore fashion fanatic, but a sleek utilitarian windbreaker has always felt so…chic. This one is by a brand I loathe to love— the Korean Brandy Melville—Glowny. Finally, it seems I always end my editor’s picks with my search for glowy skin. The new Google, Threads, has directed me to Natasha Denona’s Hy-Gen™ Energising and Hydrating Primer Serum. If anyone has tried her, please let me know, so I may put this quest to a rest!

There’s nothing like the joy of discovering another Filipino brand producing insanely good clothes. Among my most recent finds is Overlay Designs and their tactical leather belt bag, which arrives with a detachable bag, carabiners, and a side pocket for a shy hand—the detail that has me sold. Speaking of details, J.Kim’s signature petal flower motif has me in an absolute chokehold. I’ve had my eye on the brand for the past two years, and the designs and storytelling just get better and better. It was an actual burden to pick just one item from their latest Fall/Winter 2025 collection, so I’ve instead included a full look from the brand’s styling examples. The look is ultra wearable and showcases everything I love about the brand—playful features like tiny bells sewn into the fleece’s neckline, the use of pretty vintage fabrics, thoughtful homages to founder Jenia Kim’s Korean-Uzbek background (hanbok-inspired sleeves and a hat reminiscent of traditional Korean jobawi), and again, that charming petal motif.

This season also sees the launch of content creator Daisy Pyo and her partner Nick Roger’s jewellery brand, Lobeta. To me the standout item from their launch is the Double Drop Ring, which treads the delicious line between edgy and delicate. But my drooling over great design isn’t limited to clothing. When I first got my airfryer during the height of the pandemic it truly felt like the best thing since sliced bread. But it seems I’ve found a new champion in Ninja’s Crispi. It’s essentially an airfryer but more compact and perfectly designed to heat up an office lunch brought from home—admittedly, something I’m rarely seen with.But if I had this then maybe things would be different, right? Right?!
