Lead vocalist of K-pop’s hottest girl group Blackpink, Jisoo stands out not only for her husky vocals, but for her savoir faire and her elegant off-duty style. On March 6th 2021, the 26-year-old artist was named global ambassador for fashion and beauty by none other than Christian Dior. Jisoo, according to a statement from Dior, “perfectly encapsulates the House’s contemporary femininity”, and was even cited as a muse for the Maison’s Fall/Winter 2021 collection. Unveiled virtually during Paris Fashion Week 2021, Jisoo’s influence is evident in Chiuri’s contemporary takes on the classic Dior’s New Look silhouette, especially the girly pinafores and preppy two pieces the female idol has often looked to in the past.

The idol’s professional relationship with Dior dates back to December 2019, when she was named the Korean ambassador for Dior Beauty. Her feature in Dior’s Instagram post during Paris Fashion Week last fall became the Maison’s most highly rated content on the social media platform. According to Launchmetrics, Jisoo’s post generated a whopping $614,000 in Media Impact Value, which is over twice the value of their most successful post from the prior season.

For Blinks, Blackpink’s devoted fan base, Jisoo’s official pledge of allegiance to Dior comes as no surprise. Crowned “human Dior” by the internet, the idol’s wardrobe is lined with copious amounts of the Maison’s signature pieces. One scroll on Jisoo’s Instagram and one will find that CD-monogramed bags never seem to leave the singer’s arm, on or off set.
Below, we have rounded up some of Jisoo’s most stylish Dior moments that encapsulate every shade of feminine, from girl-next-door to timeless elegance, blending classic, contemporary, and whimsical styles.
Jisoo is the epitome of elegance, and these Dior looks encapsulate exactly this sentiment. For her first official public appearance as Dior’s global ambassador, she graced the Dior Womenswear Spring/Summer 2022 show in a white dress embroidered with ancient Greek motifs from the Cruise 2022 collection — minimal but effortlessly refined. From the sweet white linen ensemble she wore to the Dior Cruise 2022 show to the ethereal floor-length embroidered gown gifted to her by Maria Grazia Chiuri for her 26th birthday, the young singer never fails to look graceful donning Dior, no matter in light or dark colours.
Girl Next Door
Jisoo is also your girl-next-door. When she is not in a stunning gown, her day-to-day ensembles see blush pink ribbon hair ties and chic collared pieces like the beige Dior Caro jacket, both colour coordinated with her Dior bag of choice. To pull off the same look? Opt for floral bandanas, ribbon-tied cardigans and pleated pinafores for a girly touch to your outfit — all from Dior, of course.
Dark & Muted
If you thought that Jisoo is the type to only go for pastel hues, think again. With her Dior pieces, the young singer does not shy away from black and grey for a darker, grungier moment. For SS22 Paris Fashion Week, she explored the streets in a preppy ensemble paired with the white Dioramour Caro handbag. Days later, she took to Instagram with a snapshot of her in an edgy loungewear look from the Dior Chez Moi capsule, showing that she can pull off both preppy and edgy in monochrome. Another Instagram post saw her her pairing the Dior monogram short hooded dress with an oversized black hoodie for a casual look. However, it wouldn’t be a Jisoo bag without a girly touch — she adds a pop of colour through the bunny keychains she ties on almost every Dior bag silhouette she owns.
Bringing Retro Back
If there is one Jisoo look that screamed retro, it would be the yellow plaid Dior dress she wore to the Maison’s Autumn/Winter 2022 show (cue Cher from Clueless, the true ’90s style icon). The K-pop artist has also had plenty of fun with the Dior monogram scarf. She’s worn it as a top with an up-do, accessorised with a stack of gold necklaces and another scarf tied around her wrist, bringing back ’60s glam in full force. The same scarf is seen wrapped around her head in another photo, paired with a groovy polka dot shirt and a preppy checkered coat. Speaking of preppy, Dior’s tweed two-pieces are also among her favourites.
Nobody does off-duty fashion like Jisoo. Other than her multi-colour Dior knit (an all time Blink-favourite), she recently flaunted her new bangs in an oversized CD turtleneck, which she contrasted with a grey pleated school-girl mini. The singer has a Dior uniform for home too — her navy constellation-print pyjamas gifted by the Maison. She also recently uploaded a picture of her and one of her favourite Dior blue bags, pairing it with a knit two-piece in a contrasting warm orange hue. Also, who knew that Dior monogrammed bags looked so good slung over teddy jackets?
Over the years, the baker-boy hat has become a mainstay accessory in Dior’s collections, so it comes as no surprise that it is in Jisoo’s closet too. Eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out that the patent leather cap Jisoo wore in Blackpink’s Ice Cream music video last summer came fresh off of the Maison’s A/W 2020 runway. She has also added the designer’s signature birdcage veil to her hat and has recently opted for a tweed iteration with an argyle print, which she paired with a white Dior blazer and the classic black leather saddle.
