The I-Land

Calling all Lost loyalists: this science fiction thriller begins with ten strangers who wake up on an idyllic island and discover that nothing is what it seems on stranded paradise. Factor in the mysterious memory loss, unknown dangers and mind games that ensue, and the show quickly descends into a Lord of the Flies-like anarchy as the group tries to find a way off the island. Watch Kota Eberhart (X-Men: Dark Phoenix), Kate Bosworth and Alex Pettyfer fight to survive when it premieres on September 12.

Elite Season 2

Messy love triangles, a bucketload of backstabbing and plenty of gossip to go around — season 2 of Elite returns with tensions at an all-time high at Las Encicas prep school. If you’re unfamiliar with the series’ cast of extremely attractive students, the steamy Spanish thriller has been previously dubbed ‘Gossip Girl with murder’. What sets Elite apart is its intriguing use of flash-backs and portrayal of progressive topics that tackle issues of toxic masculinity, classism and homophobia. Dive into the perilous aftermath of the shocking arrest in the season 1 finale. Airs September 6.

Unbelievable

This eight-part docudrama shines a light on the topic of sexual assault with a focus on the trauma and legalities that follow a rape accusation. Based on real events, Unbelievable follows two intertwining plotlines: Marie (Kaitlyn Dever) who’s accused of lying about having been raped and two female detectives who follow the tracks of a possible serial rapist. Inspired by the Pulitzer Prize-winning article, An Unbelievable Story of Rape, it’s a heartwrenching study of the best and worst of American law enforcement. Premieres September 13. 

Vagabond

Following a tragic plane crash that kills over 200 civilians, the lives of a stuntman and a covert operative are intertwined in a web of national corruption that’s connected to the National Intelligence Service. The highly anticipated espionage drama stars Lee Seung-gi (A Korean Odyssey) and Bae Suzy (Artchitecture 101) and will be the first project to reunite the former K-pop singers as leading co-stars since Gu Family Book in 2013. Opens September 20.

The Politician 

TV notable Ryan Murphy (American Horror Story, Nip/Tuck, Glee) introduces a new project that offers a glimpse into the makings of a politician. Set in the treacherous landscape of Saint Sebastian High School, The Politician follows student Payton Hobart (Ben Platt) as he strives towards his dream of becoming the President of the United States. The satirical anthology will chronicle a different type of election each season and features a star-studded cast including Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange and Zoey Deutch. Arrives September 27.
