Those wanting to preview Olivia Colman’s performance as Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown are getting exactly what they want today, with the release of the first full-length trailer for season three of the Netflix royal drama.

Twenty-five years after she ascended the throne, the Queen is racked with doubts and fending off familial rivalries. Her quarter century as the sovereign receives a celebratory event—1977’s Silver Jubilee—but even among the pomp, flag-waving fans, and horse-drawn grandeur, it’s clear she doesn’t think there’s much to cheer about: “On days like today, ask yourself, in the time I’ve been on the throne, what have I actually achieved?”

Underscored in the clip by a cover of Bob Dylan’s “The Times They Are A-Changin’,” the monarch is seeing plenty of change and, to her mind, possibly deterioration in the land she’s governed for so many years. “This country was still great when I came to the throne,” she says. “All that’s happened on my watch is the place has fallen apart.” The season will cover the events of the miners’ strike of 1984 as well as the populace’s changing opinions about the royal family.

In the trailer we also see glimpses of Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, Helena Bonham-Carter as Princess Margaret, Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles, and Emerald Fennell as Camilla Shand. The controversial romance between Charles and Camilla promises to be one of the key personal conflicts of the series’ third installment. Another will focus on the queen and her sister, as Margaret admits that playing handmaiden to her older sibling has taken its toll: “Frustrations and resentments can build up from a life as a support act,” she says.
The show has always presented the tensions between being a highly public person with duties to the country and a vulnerable human being with feelings that aren’t permitted to take precedence over those obligations—a topic that continues to play out with today’s royals.

Season three of ‘The Crown’ will land on Netflix on November 17.
