Hip Mexican eatery Cali-Mex has opened a new restaurant, named Studio City by Cali-Mex, at Causeway Bay’s Fashion Walk. Those looking to satisfy their Mexican food cravings can head over to this upscale spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Studio City by Cali-Mex’s expansive menu features a variety of enjoyable Mexican dishes which aren’t so easily found in the city. If you’re planning to go for a drink or two, the restaurant also houses an Agave Tequila and Mezcal cocktail bar, which offers a great selection of beverages and bespoke cocktails.
The relaxed interiors of Studio City by Cali-Mex, which has been dreamed up by JJ Acuna / Bespoke Studio, references the laid-back cool of Southern California with its warm terracotta colour ways. The al fresco dining area also makes for an ideal space to sit back, relax and enjoy your meal on any day of the week.
Starters include Mexican Corn On The Cob, Queso Fundido (a popular dish of melted cheeses and spices mixed with chorizo or grilled vegetables) and a variety of Sliders. For those who are big on snacks, opt for the Tableside Guacamole served with your choice of toppings, whilst you wait for your mains to arrive.
The main courses listed under the Mexican street food category include a selection of Street Tacos, Tostadas and Charcoal Grilled Quesadillas with hearty fillings. If you’re with a group and prefer to share between two to three of you, then pick from the Big Platos section featuring larger plates such as Enchiladas or Chipotle Baby Back Ribs.
Items under La Parilla (Mexican Grill) include tasty Sizzling Fajitas and Pescado A La Talla (a whole Seabass served in a sauce of ancho chillies, garlic, onion, mayonnaise and lime).
