Buenos Aires-born art director and fashion consultant Sofia Sanchez de Betak launched her travel-inspired fashion brand Chufy three years ago, now featuring on the likes of Net-A-Porter and Moda Operandi. In response to the coronavirus pandemic, Sofia and her brand are hosting an online auction bursting with covetable fashion pieces and lifestyle experiences, in order to raise money for the international medical humanitarian organisation Doctors Without Borders, who are helping to stem the spread of COVID-19, care for infected patients and respond to the pandemic’s consequences on local health systems.
Items being auctioned include a Valentino Garavani Supervee shoulder bag by Maison Valentino, a Rimowa x Dior hand case, a signed sketch by designer Alber Elbaz, and a signed tennis racket by player Maria Sharapova. Experiences include a virtual meeting with Man Repeller founder Leandra Medine and a front-row ticket to the Jacquemus SS21 show. All proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to Doctors Without Borders.
