Harry Styles is back! Over the past few weeks, eagle-eyed fans have been speculating that the musician, actor, and all-round heartthrob was planning an imminent return, after spotting Styles following a number of mysterious social media accounts titled “You Are Home.” It turns out all the rumours are true. Styles will be releasing his third album, the follow-up to 2019’s critically-acclaimed and Grammy-winning Fine Line, on 20 May, titled simply: Harry’s Home.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a new Harry Styles album if it didn’t usher in a fresh style chapter for the famously chic singer too. (With a little help from his ever-inventive stylist, Harry Lambert.) Where Styles embraced a reliable fashion formula throughout the course of his Fine Line promo rounds and subsequent arena tour – notably shimmering, kaleidoscopic shirts, and high-waisted trousers – it seems that for Harry’s Home, he’s going for a lighter, more delicate look.

The album’s gently surreal cover, photographed by Hanna Moon, features Styles looking pensively down to the floor (or should we say, the ceiling) of an upside-down room decorated sparsely with mid-century furniture. For his outfit, Styles opted for head-to-toe Molly Goddard, the cult London designer whose extravagant tulle dresses have been worn by the likes of Rihanna and Jodie Comer in Killing Eve, and who recently introduced menswear to her offering. Although given Styles’s playful approach to gendered dressing, it’s not like that would have mattered anyway, with the musician wearing a custom look inspired by the brand’s spring/summer 2022 collection.

Wearing a featherlight linen shirt with a peter pan collar and strips of pink embroidery across the chest, and a pair of loose, flared jeans, Styles looks set to reinvent the rock star look all over again. Watch this space.
