Better Late Than Single” brought together a premise unheard of in reality television: invite singles who have never dated in their lives to Jeju Island. Season 1 took viewers through all the highs and lows of love, as we watched the cast open up with stories drawn from their personal experiences. Now that it’s been a year since the premiere aired, let’s see what the cast have been up to.
Yi Do
Fan favourite Yi Do captured netizens’ hearts as she wore her heart on her sleeve throughout her journey, navigating heartbreak while still staying true to her own values. Today, Yi Do has graduated with a degree in Geography Education from Seoul National University. In addition, she is also the youngest tutor at Etoos—one of South Korea’s premier online education and college entrance exam preparation platforms.

Yi Do hasn’t shied away from the screen; she has also made appearances on YouTube channels like The Psick Show, where she’s been able to showcase her bubbly personality.
Ha Jeong-mok
Ha Jeong-mok found himself entangled in a love triangle between roommates Yi Do and Park Ji-yeon, but ultimately left Solo Village with Park Ji. The couple were quite polarising figures after the show aired, and Ha Jeong-mok announced their breakup not long after. More recently, he has graduated from university with a degree in biochemical engineering, alongside his twin brother, who encouraged him to apply for the show.

Noh Jae-yun
Noh Jae-yun was one of the most talked about members of the show due to his good looks. One of the areas he struggled with most was his timidness, which inhibited him from forming deep connections with others. Currently, Jae-yun is still working as a VFX artist, and the social skills he once struggled with have become a thing of the past.

Kang Ji-su
Kang Ji-su originally went on the show because attending an all-girls high school and college left her without the opportunity to date in her formative years. Since leaving Solo Village, she has continued to teach ballet while posting regularly on Instagram, amassing over 170,000 followers. She has also kept in touch with cast mate Kim Yeo-myung and has appeared in a few of her YouTube videos.

Kim Yeo-myung
If you’re curious about what Kim Yeo-myung has been up to since the show’s end, she has been regularly documenting her life on her Instagram and YouTube. Kim Seung-li
Kim Seung-li originally went on Better Late Than Single because childhood bullies affected his confidence and his willingness to approach someone to date. After the show ended, he appeared on the KStarNextDoor show, hosted by popular comedian Jonathan Yiombi. He continues to play football in his free time and works as a marketer by day.

Kim Sang-ho
After Kim Sang-ho’s weight loss and makeover on the show, he was able to approach others with more confidence—something he had continually struggled with. Nowadays, he is working at a munitions company as a researcher, focusing on developing and testing defence technologies.
Lee Min-hong
Lee Min-hong originally joined Better Late Than Single because she felt her blunt nature often made her come off as unapproachable. Over the course of the show, she was able to show her softer side, often giving advice to Noh Jae-yun. She is now a successful fashion content creator. On her YouTube channel, she has been posting Better Late Than Single Season 2 reviews with her brother.
