1. She is majoring in Information Systems at Carnegie Mellon University
While the world was getting to know her on the sun-shores of the Inferno, Hee-sun was already conquering the lecture halls of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). Pursuing a rigorous major in Information Systems alongside minors in Human-Computer Interaction and Fine Arts, she has proven herself a certified academic weapon. It’s no wonder she was dubbed the “Jewel of CMU” by Lee Sung Hun on Single’s Inferno, earning spots on the Dean’s List with High Honours in both 2023 and 2025.
Hee-sun revealed in an Instagram reel with the university that CMU’s interdisciplinary approach was the perfect fit for her diverse interests, which jump from tech to design to community service. By blending computer science, business, and design, she isn’t just building tech—she’s studying how it affects real people.
Currently, she’s back in Seoul for a 2026 visiting student programme at Seoul National University. With beauty, brains, and a GPA that shines, she is officially setting a whole new standard for reality TV stars.
2. She’s a trilingual queen
As if her academic transcript wasn’t enough to make her the most employable person on your feed, her linguistic skills certainly are. Seamlessly trilingual in Chinese, English, and Korean, Hee-sun is effectively every Asian parent’s absolute dream.
3. She was a middle and high school cheerleader
Long before she graced our screen, Hee-sun was already used to the spotlight—albeit from the stadium benches rather than a private island. A former cheerleader throughout both middle and high school, she has a long-standing passion for dance that clearly contributes to her effortless poise.
4. She is dating Single’s Inferno’s Lim Su-been
If you’re looking for a reason to believe in reality TV romance, look no further. During the recent reunion episodes, it was officially confirmed that Su-been and Hee-sun are still going strong. A professional model and former baseball player, it seems he’s now hit a home run in the romance department.
Their journey wasn’t without its hurdles. Su-been initially hesitated over the daunting prospect of long-distance, nearly stalling the spark with a period of radio silence. But upon realising Hee-sun’s US stay wasn’t permanent, he committed to a gruelling six months of separation and calls five days a week. Now that she is back in Korea for her Seoul National University exchange, the pair are inseparable—with Su-been even cheekily referring to himself as her “pet.” Of course, they aren’t the only ones still in the honeymoon phase; you can discover which other Single’s Inferno 5 couples managed to make it work after the cameras stopped rolling in our full breakdown.

5. She was the first runner-up for Miss Korea 2024
In 2024, Hee-sun took her elegance to the national stage, finishing as the first runner-up for Miss Korea. She credits the experience for sparking her deep interest in the beauty industry. This newfound passion eventually led her to a CRM and Media internship at L’Oréal, where she could combine her aesthetic eye with her data-driven mind.
6. She is a Goodwill Ambassador for Child Fund Korea
Rounding out her “too good to be true” persona is her commitment to charity. As a Goodwill Ambassador for Child Fund Korea, Hee-sun spent two days in Busan and Gyeongnam, personally gift-wrapping Christmas presents for local children.
7. She has a Bichon Frisé
No profile is complete without mentioning her companion: a fluffy, white Bichon Frisé. Because if you’re going to be an academic powerhouse and reality TV star, you simply must have a dog that looks like a very stylish cloud.
