Anya Taylor-Joy has been making all the right moves, both on and off the screen. With her breakout role as chess prodigy Beth Harmon in “The Queen’s Gambit” in 2020, she swooned Hollywood and hasn’t looked back since. Anya’s stylish ascent is coupled with her growing list of accolades, including standout performances in “EMMA,” “The Menu,” The Northman,” and  George Miller’s “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” which premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. Now she is set to officially join the Dune universe, starring as Alia, Paul Atreides’ sister, in the third and final installment of the franchise.

The Argentinian-British-American actress often fuses classic Hollywood glamour with contemporary style codes. Her elegant style and swift rise to stardom has not gone unnoticed – she is, after all, a global brand ambassador for Dior, Tiffany & Co. and Jaeger-LeCoultre. With her successful career and her influential presence in the fashion world, she continues to be a force to be reckoned with, making her mark as one of the most exciting talents of her generation.

If Anya Taylor-Joy had a best friend, it would definitely be Dior. It is rare to see the actress not step out on a red carpet without wearing Dior, and it’s not difficult to see why. Whenever Taylor-Joy collaborates with Dior, she always chooses something elegant and timeless. Exhibition 1: she paid homage to the house’s archives at the 2024 Oscars, wearing a Venus dress from their Autumn 1949 collection. But Dior is also Taylor-Joy’s go-to to match the aesthetic of an event. She appeared at the world premiere of Dune: Part Two in a white, draping gown with a sheer veil around her head. Considering she had an uncredited cameo as Paul Atreides’ younger sister Alia, she’s definitely channeling the energy of their mother, Lady Jessica.

Magic happens when Taylor-Joy leans into method dressing. At the Sydney premiere for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Taylor-Joy wowed the crowd with a spiky Rabanne number. The bejeweled minidress and matching headpiece is from the brand’s Spring 1996 collection, and has sharp arrow-like pieces protruding out. It perfectly matches the post-apocalyptic setting of the movie, and the fierce nature of her character.

What separates Taylor-Joy from other actresses is her affinity for bold yet sublime looks. She wore a gold velvet minidress from Schiaparelli’s Spring 2023 collection to the BAFTA Film Awards, but what made it stunning was the matching oversized stole covering her head. The cherry on top is her platinum blonde hair and blush red lipstick.

Taylor-Joy is also not afraid to play with textures, and this Alexander McQueen dress gave her full rein to do so. At the London premiere of The Menu, she wore this cobalt blue dress from the designer’s Spring 2023 collection. The wow factor? The dress, including the corseted top, the gloves and the asymmetrical skirt is made entirely out of leather.
