2016年推出專輯《24K Magic》後，Bruno Mars 相隔4年終於有關於全新專輯的消息。與 Anderson .Paak 延續 24K Magic World Tour 的緣份，聯手組成新樂隊 Silk Sonic，繼3月5日率先公佈第一首歌曲《Leave The Door Open》，成為時下熱話後；數月後再出第二首全新單曲《Skate》，再次是一首節奏明快的復古舞曲。2021年7月，兩人還獲得了 BET Awards 2021 「最佳組合」的獎項，並表演了熱門單曲《Leave The Door Open》。

兩人早前透露這次專輯收錄的音樂包括了2017年巡演的旋律，以及社交隔離期間的靈感。2021年，他們更首次挑戰服裝設計，聯名 LACOSTE 推出限定系列「LACOSTE x RICKY REGAL」。

不知不覺已經出道10多年，從當年離開夏威夷家鄉到洛杉磯闖蕩，到奪下Grammys，再到漸漸確立自己風格，選擇走向 Funk 路線，出生於音樂人家庭的35歲 Bruno Mars 一直以輕鬆的旋律和動聽節奏，俘虜大家的耳朵。從2009年與 B.O.B. 合作推出《Nothin’On You》，開始受到全球關注，到2010年，第一張專輯中《Just the Way You Are》和《Grenade》更是打入了Billboard百大熱門榜。一眾熱門曲如今聽起來仍然很棒，更成為不少90後的唱K必備單曲。當然，懷念唱K的話，也不妨欣賞 James Corden 與 Bruno Mars 5年前一起拍攝的Carpool Karaoke。
