你有否發現自已怎樣都瘦不下來?或是難以忍口、不時瘋狂喪食,越想減肥瘦身,反而越肥。這樣背道而馳的現象未必與吸引力法則相關(越想減肥瘦身便越想吃東西),因為一項新的研究發現,我們在睡覺時接觸人造光,如沒有關掉電腦、電視機便進睡,會大增17%肥胖的可能性!

JAMA Internal Medicine發表的一項研究,由美國國立衛生研究院領導,研究了臥室內,人造光與體重增加之間的關係。

研究人員調查了2003年7月至2009年3月期間,年齡在35歲至74歲之間的43333名女性的數據。他們比較了他們臥室內的光源,並將他們分為四類:沒有光線,小夜燈房間,房間外的燈(如路燈或汽車前燈)或房間內有燈光或電視的人造光。

他們還記錄了每個參與者在研究過程中的身高和體重。結果對於夜間電視愛好者來說是個壞消息:他們增加5公斤的可能性增加17%,BMI增加10%或更多的可能性增加13%,超重的可能性增加22%,還會增加33%痴肥的可能性!

雖然房間內的光線不會直接導致體重增加,但額外的光線(來自電腦和電視的人造光)會導致睡眠不安,並限制深度睡眠時間,引發連鎖效應,因為睡眠不足會影響食慾激素,導致人們暴飲暴食,新陳代謝更會減慢。

建議人們不要在燈光下睡覺似乎是合理的

該研究證實了,開著電視睡眠時,體重增加的可能確實存在。儘管研究的作者表示,他們或許需要進行更多研究解釋當中關係。

他們還指出,智能手機,電腦,平板電腦和電子閱讀器的光線可能是罪魁禍首。
