太陽眼鏡對於時尚來說，一直都是潮流 趨勢的指標甚至是風格的塑造。其實在 1960 年代之前，太陽眼鏡除了是飛行員的工具，更是極具軍事用途，直到 1960 年代電影文化的盛行——Audrey Hepburn 在《珠光寶氣》中身穿 Givenchy 小黑裙，帶着太陽眼鏡吃着牛角包的樣子，成為了時尚經典也塑造出女性奢華形象。
當年英國超模如 Twiggy、美國前第一 夫人 Jackie O. 都戴上粗框圓形的太陽眼鏡亮相，也成為 Balencaiga 今季明星效應的靈感，1960 年代的粗膠框設計再次成為如今躲避狗仔隊的必備單品。
