每年美式足球聯盟的年度冠軍賽超級盃（Super Bowl）除了看比賽，其超級盃中場騷（Super Bowl Halftime Show）的表演環節更是倍受矚目，巨星如 Michael Jackson、Madonna、Lady Gaga、Beyoncé 等是曾經的表演嘉賓。而緊接着今年 Shakira 和 Jennifer Lopez 兩大拉丁裔天后的足跡，最新消息是加拿大歌星 The Weeknd 將成為2021年 Super Bowl half-time show 的表演者。

30歲的他可謂是一個閃耀的星，曾獲得三項格林美獎（Grammy Awards），最新專輯《After Hours》更是已達白金銷量量。而其實 The Weeknd 在今個星期初就發放了兩段預告片，當時不少粉絲還誤以為是新專輯。

數月前為「2020MTV音樂錄影帶頒獎禮」（MTV VMA 2020）帶來開場表演的 The Weeknd，在全紐約最高的摩天大廈 The Edge 天台 上帶來精彩表演。而曾經與他合作負責舞台設計的有視覺藝術家 Es Devlin，為The Weeknd打造過不少舞台，例如2017年巡演舞台、2018年4月 Coachella 舞台的臉孔及手掌的裝置藝術等，配合舞台燈光十分搶眼。明年的 SuperBowl 比賽將於2月7日在佛羅里達州的Raymond James 體育場舉行，不知屆時他又會與誰合作，帶來何種舞台呢？
