還記得上年由於原定主持Kevin Hart牽涉到恐同言論後決定請辭，成為1989年後再度沒有主持的奧斯卡，全場由不少的表現撐場。雖然多得Lady Gaga和Bradley Cooper深情彈琴合唱的一幕，成為全球熱話，可惜最後亦落得「沉悶」的評價。

本以為上屆只因為突發事件才沒有主持人，但想不到今年奧斯卡再次宣佈，今屆頒獎禮同樣沒有主持，成為連續兩屆沒有主持的頒獎禮。

今次為甚麼不再有主持人呢？原因是奧斯卡官方表示今年想製做一個娛樂性豐富的頒獎禮，所以著眼點並不是於主持上。所以估計今年奧斯卡同樣以大量表演為主，但同時亦表明不代表以後也沒有主持，只是2020年沒有而已。

上年有Lady Gaga和Bradley Cooper這對話題性十足的「螢幕情侶」，但綜觀今年的提名電影似乎也沒有太大娛樂性，可能焦點放於Joker、Once Upon a Time in Hollywood上，2020年的奧斯卡將於2月9日舉行，屆時便可以看到有預計地沒有主持的Oscar會是怎樣。
