一直以來，高跟鞋就被視作是女性美的象徵。而說到紅地毯，更是女星穿上超高鞋子，爭相媲美的時刻。與別不同的影星 Kristen Stewart 很早就開始想推翻這個想法。Kristen 一向不喜歡穿高跟鞋，曾經直指這是自己最討厭去紅地毯活動的原因。因此，不難看到她出席公開活動或者紅地毯活動時會選擇穿上運動鞋。逼不得已的話，她寧願不穿鞋直到拍照前才換上高跟鞋。

Kristen Stewart 最近有新電影《Charlie’s angels》上映，而她就在 Chanel 裙子下配搭了 Nike 運動鞋，展現出不穿高跟鞋亦能美豔動人，而 Kristen 這種行為其實是對於女性被性別定型的一個行動上的反抗。她更說：「如果你不要求男生穿高跟鞋和裙，那麼你就不要這樣要求我。（If you’re not asking guys to wear heels and a dress, you can’t ask me either）」。她的有型示範十分成功，其他女星也會效法嗎？
