上週四威廉王子與凱特王妃攜同喬治小王子和夏洛特小公主參加了 King’s Cup Regatta charity 的活動，更親自落場參加了帆船比賽。因此，一件白色Polo shirt，一件運動夾克，一頂棒球帽再加一雙New Balances是如此自然。運動短褲顯露出王妃矯健的運動身材，這是平時以西裝套裝、晚禮服長裙示人的Kate Middleton極少被人看到的一面。

可是追溯到上一次Kate Middleton被公開拍到穿短褲已經是2008年，比她正式進入皇室家庭還要早三年。八年前的她參加倫敦的Day-Glo Midnight Roller Disco的慈善派對，她選擇了亮片上衣，內襯粉紅色襪子的及膝靴，還有一條亮黃色的超短褲。這樣的形象或許大家再也不會在凱特皇妃身上見到，因此今日的驚訝也可以理解。
