所以誰是Halle Bailey？這位將會顛覆你對原動畫印象的人物到底是何方神聖？在年僅19歲便確定擔正電影大片的女主角。《小魚仙》的導演Rob Marshall說道：「經過一段時間的選角後，很清晰地，Halle擁有所有Ariel的特質，不論是靈魂，內心及年齡上都相當適合飾演這個經典角色。」

在成為全新的Ariel前，Halle在Youtube上以Chole x Halle名號與姊姊Chole開始了她們的歌唱生涯，最終成功取得天后Beyoncé的注意，得到天后的邀請，她們參與了Beyoncé 2016專輯《Lemonade》，並在Beyoncé的演唱會中亮相。
