Sands Macao Fashion Week 2019 has joined with French luxury house, Balmain, to showcase an exclusive couture collection from Paris, a highlight of the event’s third year. The Balmain pieces were unveiled at an exclusive gala at The Venetian Macao®️ on October 17 th for celebrity guests including singer Jane Zhang, singer-actor Jiro Wang, Mu Zi Yang, Ling Chao and Yue Yue of boy band ONER, actress Li Meng, singer Jeffery Tung.
The Balmain Couture Exhibition will be in the main lobby of The Venetian Macao®️ as the headline event of Sands Macao Fashion Week 2019 from October 17 th to 23 rd 2019, and will be open to the public from October 18 th to 23 rd 2019. This collaborative showcase marks the first time Balmain has undertaken such a partnership in Asia, demonstrating Macao’s growing importance as a major fashion retail destination in the region.
The exhibition pays homage to Balmain’s storied couture legacy, which sees Creative Director Olivier Rousteing’s singularly modern vision as the latest chapter of the house. “Our founder, Pierre Balmain, has left us with an incredible and uniquely rich heritage,” says Rousteing. “My team and I constantly find ourselves amazed by the creative genius we discover as we research the house’s extensive archives. I’m pleased that we have the opportunity to share a bit of the singular beauty, as well as help underline how Balmain’s couture origins inspire each and every one of our many collections.”
