Throughout the Coronavirus crisis, celebrities have found creative ways to give back. The latest star to pitch in is Kendall Jenner, who announced the release of her for-charity collection earlier this afternoon on Instagram stories. The Zaza World creative collective she runs with friend DJ Daniel Chetrit serves as the inspiration for the colorful illustrations and slogans that cover hoodies, t-shirts, and tote bags. Slogans like “stay home” and “this shirt feeds people” tap into the mood of the moment, though the aesthetics of the clothes might be the least important aspect. One hundred percent of the net profits will go to Feeding America, the nationwide network of food banks which supports shelters, soup kitchens, and underserved communities. Since the pandemic broke out, the group’s response fund has been instrumental in providing food to those need.

Given that casualwear is trending and summer is right around the corner, Jenner’s low-key t-shirt launch feels timely. The fact that it helps an essential organization is what elevates the entire project. Jenner’s charity work may not get the same level of media attention as her Twitter clapbacks, but the model, who also supports clean drinking water non-profit Charity Water, appears to have made philanthropy a priority. If the thought of one more t-shirt after weeks of working from home is too much to handle, rest assured that the proceeds will be beneficial long after you’re back to dressing up.
