aespa’s Ningning made a memorable entrance at her first Met Gala in a custom black Gucci sculptural floral gown that took 920 hours to create, making us all do a double-take.

“The first time I saw the dress, I was like, Wow! Like, Wow! It’s perfect,” Ningning shared about her initial reaction to the ethereal creation. “This dress that Demna made for me feels like a piece of art.” The 23-year-old star was just announced as Gucci’s newest brand ambassador last week, and expressed her elation at joining the Gucci family. “I grew up fascinated by Gucci, and it doesn’t feel real that I get to help bring the house’s designs to new generations and tastes,” she revealed in an official statement.

When asked what aespa song would accompany her look if it appeared in a music video, Ningning responded candidly: “Oh my God. If only the title, I will choose Dark Arts.”
