PEDI:MANI:CURE Studio at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental

Best for: The Natural Look

While colour and French mani-pedis are on the menu, it’s the Bastien Gonzalez treatments that set apart this studio, located in The Landmark Mandarin Oriental’s state-of-the-art spa. Led by podiatrist Albin Brion, who trained under Bastien Gonzalez in Paris, the Bastien Duo treatment is a mani-pedi that focuses on the skin and nails, but also on foot beauty and relaxation, with Albin working on dry skin to ensure that he can fully understand the skin’s needs. No polish is used but instead an ancestral buffing technique, once adopted by Marie Antoinette, and Pure Magic serum gives nails a natural shine that can last up to two weeks.

Eightyeight

Best For: Designer Digits

A-listers, influencers, and high society heavy hitters are cult fans of Stephanie Shek’s nail salon on Wellington Street in Central. Swarovski crystal embellishments, ombre nails, and pop art are a few specialties that have earned Eightyeight a reputation as the best in the business. We like to skip the glitter and graffiti nail art and opt for the negative space manicure options instead.

The Nail Library

Best For: Louboutin Lacquer

Christian Louboutin’s eponymous manicure can be found here and our personal favourite features a slick of black lacquer on top with a flash of the brand’s signature red underneath. The nail salon is a huge hit with Hong Kongers who love a fast, efficient, and reliable service from some of the best manicurists in the city. They also have special treatments for men and children and are particularly gifted in animal print nail art.

The manicures, pedicures, hard/soft gel nails and intensive hand and feet treatments are excellent and delivered with the utmost attention to detail. Treatments can take a little bit longer than usual, but it’s worth it for the addictively meticulous manicures.
