Pop star Ariana Grande is back on the carpet for Met Gala 2024 and looks like a celestial dream. She’s a Good Witch, after all.

“This look is so aligned with the ethereal and enchanting nature of Ari throughout her evolution as an artist,” says Michael Anthony, who was in charge of the night’s glam. “It’s all about dreaming and fantasy.”

Most notably, there are Grande’s 3-D wings—which are handmade. “Ari trusted me with the process of designing ethereal petal wings that we placed on the temples.” From there, the focus was “a timeless glam that incorporated the mother-of-pearl effect of her stunning outfit.”

The rest of the look was more subdued with pearlescent skin and sheer washes of pretty pink—all of the products came from the pop star’s line, R.E.M. Beauty. Anthony says the Hypernova satin Matte Blush in Pinking of You “gives the perfect soft pink glow.”

The rest of the look came together with stylist Mimi Cuttrell, Michael Anthony, Alyx Liu on hair, and nails by Daniel Taverez.

“I’ve always leaned into fantasy and the ethereal realm of gems and Mother Earth, so the custom Loewe mother-of-pearl corset was all I needed to see to be inspired,” Anthony says of the beauty ideation process. “The theme of this year’s Met ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,’ is so rich with inspiration all by itself and is so aligned with Ari’s world!!”
