Where to Eat

Belon

Now’s not the time for a foodie trip to the 11th arrondissement in Paris, but that’s not to say you can’t enjoy it’s dynamic food scene. Belon is offering a six-course tasting menu for Mother’s Day, so you can sample some of the Michelin-starred French restaurant’s hearty signature dishes. Come for a taste of their homemade naturally leavened bread, a whole roasted ‘three yellow’ chicken with petits pois à la française, and a delicate millefeuille for dessert.

The Chinese Library pays homage to its surroundings in Tai Kwun, the former-colonial police headquarters on Hollywood Road, with western infused Chinese dishes. For Mother’s Day, they’re highlighting the diversity of regional Chinese cooking with their seven dish tasting menu that includes everything from Hokkaido scallops and black truffle fried egg, to the chef’s favourite: a chrysanthemum ‘thousand cut’ silken tofu in chicken broth, and baked king prawns with fermented beans. To finish, there’s a tofu panna cotta with matcha cake and toffee too, that’s sure to sweeten the evening.
