We’re a few weeks out from the 2021 Oscars ceremony on Sunday, April 25, and the pressure is on to finish as many of the nominated movies as possible—because really, what’s an Oscar party (in-person or via Zoom) if you haven’t seen enough of the nominees to fight about what should win?

While it was a great year for Oscars-worthy fare, with movies including Promising Young WomanMinari, and Nomadland among the long list of nominees, it was also a great year for skipping actually good pop culture in favor of comfort food. Judas and the Black Messiah

Minari


Steven Yeun and Youn Yuh-jung are both nominated for their performances in this Korean American family drama, which also earned a nod for best picture.
