Before she was getting chased around a set for Obsession, Inde Navarrette was the kid who told her mum she was going to be an actor at age three, the teenager who’d been to eleven different schools by age fifteen, and the streamer building her own gaming PC in her spare time. Now she’s doing Paris Fashion Week front rows for Dior, hitting Oscar buzz territory, and still finding time to scream Nickelback in the car on her way to set. 1. Inde Navarrette’s real name is Danielle Fabiola Navarrette
She was born Danielle — “Inde” came later, courtesy of her mum, who noticed how independent she was as a toddler (always insisting “I’ll do my hair” herself) and started calling her Inde for short. The nicknames didn’t stop there: her uncle calls her Dani, her aunt calls her Elle May. Depending on which relative is in the room, she’s basically had four different names her whole life.

Watching Jackass is a full family activity for Inde — she and her relatives put it on while they eat. So when she actually met Johnny Knoxville in person, all she managed to get out was a single “hi” before completely blacking out. Her own Jackass-coded moment came on her 18th birthday: she went skydiving, then went straight from the airfield to get her nipples pierced. Same day, no notes. Her soft side, though, is reserved for someone a little less flesh-and-blood: her celebrity crush is Optimus Prime, no hesitation, and he tops a full “hear me out” roster that also includes Shrek (tall, protective, a little avoidant, she’ll admit), Baymax from Big Hero 6, and Mufasa from The Lion King. 3. Inde Navarrette’s family tree splits between Australia and Mexico
Inde is Australian and Mexican, and the Mexican side of her family has fully adopted Obsession as appointment viewing. Meanwhile, her aunt has taken her horror-movie devotion to interior design levels, keeping actual Chucky dolls lined up against the bathroom wall. No further questions.
4. Inde Navarrette had been to 11 schools by the time she was 15
Her dad is a Marine, so the family moved constantly growing up, and he ran a tight ship — strict, education-focused, no excuses. Add in a blended family of six or seven siblings (Inde is the second oldest), and you get a childhood spent almost entirely in transit.

Inde built her own gaming PC in 2022 and started streaming shortly after — video games have been a constant throughout her life, long before Obsession made her a household name. She’s also a fan of the streaming world from the other side, counting Vanilla Mace among her favourites to watch.
6. Inde Navarrette screams Nickelback in the car to shake off her horror-movie day job
Working on a psychological horror set takes a toll, so Inde has a full ritual: blasting Paramore, Creed, Korn, and Nickelback on full volume on her way to work, screaming along to cleanse herself before she has to be scared (or scary) all day.
7. 27 is basically Inde Navarrette’s lucky charm
When she booked Superman & Lois, her room number was 327. At her very first audition ever, she was the 27th girl called in. And when Obsession hit theatres, it opened to a $27 million first weekend. She’s a Pisces, for what it’s worth, but 27 is doing the heavy lifting here.
8. Inde Navarrette has wanted to act since she was three years old
The moment came watching Gladiator: three-year-old Inde turned to her mum and announced, “Mommy, I do” — as in, that’s what she was going to do. Two decades later, eleven schools, and one career later, she’s still following through on it.

Long before Dior and Paris Fashion Week front rows, there were Bratz dolls. Inde has said her obsession (pun intended) with fashion taxes straight back to playing with them as a kid.
