n May 9th, Gold House hosted its 5th annual Gold Gala in Los Angeles, bringing together the Asian Pacific American community for a night of celebration and recognition. This year’s theme, “A New Gold World,” set the tone for an evening that honoured the top 100 most influential “culture makers” across various industries while celebrating the achievements of esteemed Asian Pacific American leaders. The event recognised exceptional individuals through the Gold Gala Honors, with awards presented to leaders who have made significant impacts in their respective fields.

The celebrity attendees fully embraced the evening’s theme through their fashion choices, with the carpet showcasing various interpretations of sculptural tailoring and shimmering metallics. Notably, the red carpet shone with pieces by Asian Pacific designers, celebrating the region’s creative talent.

KPop Demon Hunters singer and producer EJAE stunned in a baby-blue LEJE gown featuring a strapless basque-waist silhouette adorned with over 1,000 mother-of-pearl pieces that wrapped gracefully around the bust and skirt.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas received the Global Vanguard Honor in recognition of her trailblazing career, which has successfully bridged Bollywood and Hollywood. Chopra Jonas emerged as the standout on the gold carpet, wearing a sari-inspired gown created in a collaboration between designer Amit Aggarwal and stylist Ami Patel. The stunning piece, featuring patterns inspired by traditional Indian motifs, was elegantly complemented by Bulgari jewels and Jimmy Choo heels.

Presented with the Gold Legend Honor was Hong Kong acting veteran Jet Li, who was accompanied by his daughters Jane Li and Jada Li, wearing Sau Lee, founded by Hong Kong designer Cheryl Leung.

The rest of this year’s Gold Honor honourees included Olympic freestyle skier Eileen Gu (Gold Impact), actor Simu Liu (Gold Mogul), technology executive Revathi Advaithi (Forbes Gold), and actor Charles Melton (Gold Artistic Achievement).
