It feels like only yesterday we were watching the sparks fly (and the tears fall) in Single’s Inferno Season 5. But with the reunion episodes behind us, the cast has pivoted back into reality—and they’ve been keeping their schedules packed. While some have solidified their friendships with group getaways, others have jet-setted to fashion shows across the globe or returned to their high-stakes careers.
Here is what your favourite Single’s Inferno Season 5 contestants have been up to since they left the island.
Park Hee-sun
The Jewel of CMU hasn’t just escaped Inferno; she’s escaped the Pittsburgh winter. Hee-sun is back in Korea as an exchange student at Seoul National University, and she’s still going strong with Su-been. She recently dropped a single, “Will you hold my hand?”, on YouTube channel and the music video is a total Easter egg hunt for fans. Between clips of her at the CMU engineering department, she’s been sporting a baseball glove and throwing a pitch (a cheeky nod to Su-been, perhaps?). Look out for a cameo from fellow castmate Kim Min-gee, too.
Hee-sun has even made it onto the CMU Instagram and Arirang News for an interview.

Engineering, music, and romance? She really is doing it all
Kim Go-eun
Go-eun has been busying herself with a world tour. She hit New York for the first time in February for Fashion Week, where she attended the Alice and Olivia show and an event with Theory, balanced out by the mandatory NYC diet of pizza and Crumbl cookies.
She even reunited with fellow contestant Lee Sung-hun, who naturally opted for a Lamborghini as his vehicle of choice to pick her up.
The tour continued to Paris in March, where she caught up with Single’s Inferno Season 4’s Lee Si-an and took her seat at the front row at Akris, Vivienne Westwood, and Mugler.

If you’re dying to see the behind-the-scenes footage (or dying to master her signature “sunburn makeup routine”), she’s launched a Youtube channel to document her high fashion jet-setting.
Ham Ye-jin
Ye-jin proves that even if you don’t find a boyfriend, you can find your besties on Single’s Inferno. She’s been inseparable from fellow contestants Woo Sung-min and Kim Min-gee, a trio now dubbed the “96s squad” (a nod to their shared birth year).
The group recently treated themselves to a getaway in Gyeongju, where they spent the day wandering through the picturesque streets of Hwangridan-gil, ducking into aesthetic cafes, and essentially laughing their way through a massive food crawl. It’s all very wholesome, and luckily for us, Ye-jin has launched her own Youtube Channel to document the fun.
Kim Min-gee
Min-gee has claimed the title of the cast’s social butterfly, keeping in close touch with almost everyone from the island. Her Instagram features: dance collaborations with Hee-sun, Go-eun and Shin Hyeon-woo, as well as playful reels with Kim Jae-jin and Lee Joo-young.

As a cornerstone of the 96s squad, she’s been documenting their travels on her Youtube Channel, most notably a chaotic mukbang where the group reacted to Season 5 wearing some truly “unique” fits—think Sung-min in a rainbow tutu and Ye-jin sporting a wig and moustache.
And for those wondering about her post-Inferno escape with Seung-il: while she admitted in the reunion episode that he initially ghosted her, the pair seem to have mended their friendship. They’ve recently been spotted together on the streets of Korea, and she even treated fans to a cheeky photobooth snap of the two on her Instagram story.
Youn Hyun-jae
While his pursuit of Joo-young on the island was a bit of a one-way street, we are delighted to report that the real winner was his bromance with Lee Sung-hun. The two recently shared a wholesome date at Eatanic Garden, the one-Michelin-starred restaurant by Culinary Class Wars star Son Jong-won.
Song Seung-il
Song-il is leaning heavily into his Instagram Fashion Influence era, maintaining a curated feed of his fits for his followers.
He’s recently appeared alongside fellow contestant Lee Ha-eun for a juicy Q&A on Single’s Inferno host Kyunhyun’s Youtube channel to dish on all those behind-the-scenes secrets.
As for the Min-gee drama? Despite the ghosting saga mentioned in the reunion, their recent photobooth cameos suggest the two have moved into much friendlier territory.
Shin Hyeon-woo
Hyeon-woo has officially traded his “strong guy” persona for a performative male era. He’s ditched the gym-bro aesthetic in favour of thrifted-style fits and pensive moments with an iced coffee.
He’s clearly remained close with his former running buddy, Min-gee, as evidenced by their high-energy dance reel.

Kim Jae-jin
Jae-jin and Joo-young have frequently been spotted supporting one another at their respective dance shows and art exhibitions, and we couldn’t be happier for the island’s most artistic pairing.
When he isn’t busy being one half of a power couple, he has recently been travelling and resuming his work as a performance artist.
Woo Sung-min
Sung-min may have parted ways with Go-eun after their escape from Inferno, but he certainly didn’t leave empty-handed. When he isn’t dressed up in tutus by the 96s squad (consisting of Min-gee and Hye-jin) or appearing in their vlogs, Sung-min has been living his best life. He’s been travelling through Italy and spending quality time with his very cute puppy.
Lee Joo-young
While she and Jae-jin are keeping us on our toes regarding an official label, she confirmed in the Reunion Episode that they are in “constant contact,” with the pair regularly front-and-centre at each other’s art exhibitions and dance shows.
She’s been hanging out with Min-gee and reactivating her YouTube channel after a five-year hiatus. Her recent vlogs offer a serene glimpse into her creative process—from planning floral artworks to getting hands-on in pottery classes and visiting Gaetano Pesces exhibitions.
