Chouchou
If you love Babette, you’ll love Chouchou. Opened by the same team behind the beloved modern French bistro, Chouchou brings a classic French dining experience to the Wan Chai neighbourhood. Executive chef Cédric Tsia curates a menu that strikes a balance between heartiness and sophistication, each dish ultimately rooted in traditional French techniques. Starters comprise the ‘Tartare de Boeuf’ with premium Polmard beef and homemade ‘Foie Gras au Torchon’ served alongside brioche, while mains include a crab meat ravioli swathed in a rich bisque sauce and a decadent beef tenderloin dish crowned with seared foie gras and black truffle jus. In honouring the convivial spirit of French dining, guests can also opt for signature sharing plates such as a classic duck à l’orange or the rustic ‘Traditional Tourte Française’. Desserts here are of course, a given, and feature familiar recipes like caramel custard pudding and ‘Tarte Tatin’ complemented by Bourbon vanilla ice cream.

Valentines Day Menus and more
Babette
Romance is ingrained in the French, so it’s no wonder their cuisine triggers heart-eyes and an unwavering love for butter. At Babette, Valentine’s Day is honoured with a specially curated five-course menu that begins with delicate appetisers of smoked amberjack fish and a goat cheese cigar with honey and fresh thyme for lightness. A wholesome plate of cannelloni pasta with foie gras and mushrooms in a luscious Albufera sauce follows, giving way to the main course: a ridiculously tender chateaubriand with Porto red wine sauce, caramelised carrots, and confit potato. Date night is complete with a 70% chocolate tart with raspberry coulis and, ideally, a glass of red.

Each course is a lavish treat brimming with premium ingredients like black truffle, Sologne Imperial caviar and Alaskan king crab, sea urchin, and foie gras. Dessert however, is the true highlight of their Valentine’s Day dinner menus: ‘La Rose’ sees a sake-infused lychee mousse, strawberry sorbet and strawberry mousse blossom into a budding rose, while ‘Strawberry Vacherin’ adorns a vanilla panna cotta, strawberry jelly and strawberry mousse with a delicate heart-shaped Meringue and berries.

“The Journey of Love” Afternoon Tea at Regent Hong Kong
This Valentine’s Day, Regent Hong Kong presents an artful celebration of love with “The Journey of Love” afternoon tea at The Lobby Lounge. Executive pastry chef Andy Yeung has teamed up with young Hong Kong copper artists Nathan Wong and Hazel Lee of COXPER to craft a sculptural tea stand that serves as the centrepiece to a romantic tea experience. An ode to the couple’s own love story, the stand employs copper and brass to capture love’s natural rhythm through intricate floral motifs—a theme that continues into the chef Andy’s edible delights. A vanilla mousse fashioned into an orchid captures a tender promise; a vibrant rose-infused mousse with hazelnut ladyfinger, raspberry compote and a hazelnut sablé base expresses the vibrance and passion of a blossoming romance; and a poached pear with Chantilly cream and hibiscus-infused agar embodies the poise and purity of a love that has matured.
“The Journey of Love” Valentine’s Day Afternoon Tea runs from February 9 to 15, 2026

To kick off the new year, Avoca has updated its “High Spirits” brunch with a brand new menu. Free-flowing appetisers like yellow tail sashimi, sautéed prawns with steamed buns, and minced chicken skewers with truffle don’t compromise on refinement, while main course options such as Korean-inspired shellfish pancake and grilled yellow chicken and abalone with chicken-fat orzo showcase creative flair. Siaw launches Yellow Tofu Series
Tamu tofu gets its spot in the limelight with Siaw’s new à la carte Yellow Tofu Series. The soft, golden tofu hailing from Nakhon Si Thammarat in Southern Thailand boasts a recipe that traces back to the Xinhai Revolution, where Teochew Chinese immigrants brought with them traditional tofu-making techniques that have gradually woven themselves into the region’s culinary fabric. Siaw pays tribute to this treasured ingredient in a new menu anchored by a signature dish of tamu tofu stir-fried with Thai holy basil and a choice of minced pork, Wagyu beef, tiger prawns, or sweet crab meat.

Prince and the Peacock unveils Winter Menu
Prince and the Peacock roams the expansive legacies of Indian royals through Chef Palash Mitra’s winter menu. Each dish draws inspiration from dynasties that defined regional gastronomy, celebrating princely cuisines and Chef’s modern sensibilities. The nourishing ‘Thukpa’ is a spiced broth with a bamboo shoot “momo” that celebrates the Namgyal family of the former Kingdom of Sikkim. The ‘Sandali Murgh’ turns the familiar Three Yellow Chicken into an aromatic delight, having been marinated in yoghurt, cream, saffron, sandalwood, and vetiver before slow-roasting—echoing the luxuriousness of Mughal court banquets. Meanwhile, the ‘Crab Claw Porichettu’ is an homage to Cochin’s spice-laden shores, as fiery green peppercorns meet fragrant scallots and toddy vinegar. The culinary voyage takes diners to the historical mountains, palaces, and coasts, through storied dishes that epitomise the fluidity and fun of food culture.
