Race weekend is full of nail-biting moments for F1 fans and drivers alike, from neck-to-neck turns on track and engineering fixes against the clock in the garages, to just plain bad weather. However, for the WAGs (wives and girlfriends) of F1, race weekend can also be a runway. Outside of their own successful careers, these women know how to show up in style to support their drivers. In recent years, the Netflix hit Drive to Survive has transformed F1 from a niche sport into a global phenomenon and a powerful platform for luxury advertising. This shift has drawn partnerships with high-profile brands, including Charlotte Tilbury, which joined forces with the F1 Academy last year to empower and train female drivers aspiring to compete in F1. Following that, LVMH signed an unprecedented 10-year partnership with F1 earlier this year, bringing Louis Vuitton, Moët Hennessy, TAG Heuer and more to the tracks. With F1 now firmly entrenched in pop culture and the highly anticipated F1 The Movie starring Brad Pitt on the horizon, all eyes are not just on the tracks but also on the paddock, where WAGs continue to set the standard for effortless, race-day chic. Here, we break down some of their most iconic looks—so you can take notes and hit the cinema for the F1 film dressed like it’s race day.
Alexandra Saint Mleux
Alexandra Saint Mleux, the ‘it’ girl of F1 WAGs, is known for her trendy but classy style. At just 22 years old, she has cemented her status as a fashion icon, regularly turning heads in outfits from brands like Sau Lee, Realisation Par, Meshki, and Clio Peppiat. From her trendier looks from Lioness or With Jean, to her more sophisticated looks from Zimmermann or Jaquemus, every outfit she has brought to race weekends is meticulously analysed and admired by fans. She has utilised her popularity from F1 to expand her presence in the fashion industry, most recently releasing her own line with Meshki. Having studied history of art at L’École du Louvre and worked in the arts, she also curates an Instagram account dedicated to her passion for the arts, sharing exhibitions and pieces that inspire her. A few months ago, she made a visit to Hong Kong for Art Basel where she moderated a talk with Singaporean artist Robert Zhao on his collaboration with Charles Keith—a testament to her creative influence that reaches far beyond the paddock.
Lily Muni He
Professional golfer Lily Muni He and her boyfriend Alex Albon are the duo we never knew we needed. Albon has credited her as being his support system, as they are able to understand each other as competitive professional athletes. Born in Chengdu, He grew up in Canada and the US, and started playing golf when she was just 5 years old. When she’s not busy training and competing in all corners of the world, she can be found travelling with Albon. Outside of her athletic wear, her taste is elegant and refined, but playful. Though she gravitates toward a minimalist aesthetic, she knows how to spice up her outfits with accessories, textures, and pops of colour. Beyond fashion, He is a vocal advocate for equal pay and opportunities in women’s sports, using her platform to champion female athletes worldwide.
Carmen Montero Mundt
Girl boss and finance professional Carmen Montero Mundt knows how to bring a clean, crisp look to the paddock. Both she and her boyfriend George Russell sport that ‘quiet luxury’ aesthetic, regularly spotted in brands like Dior, Tommy Hilfiger, while partnering with luxury hotels such as the Ritz Carlton. Born and raised in Spain, Mundt moved to London for university where she built a career in investment management. She recently authored a book aimed at teaching and promoting financial literacy and independence for women. Alongside her efforts to empower women in business, Mundt frequently shares her travels and recommends books on topics like business, psychology, and leadership.
Rebecca Donaldson
Scottish model and entrepreneur Rebecca Donaldson has been known to bring some well-tailored looks into the paddock. Her style is very minimalistic, but never basic, characterised by unique cuts and silhouettes that elevate her outfits. She is often seen in a good pair of loose-fitting trousers, and no one pulls off a pantsuit quite like her. Having started her modelling career at 17 years old, she has worked with some of the biggest names in fashion and beauty, including Dior and Chanel, and has graced the covers of Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and more. While modeling remains her primary focus, she has expressed interest in pursuing a career in fashion, having studied international fashion branding at university.
